The Taradiddle Players

Ferdinand the Bull
[two performances
in the public schools]
March 29th and 30th

Ferdinand the Bull is the endearing
story of a bull who prefers sniffing daisies in a field to fighting matadors. While it explores the theme of peace vs. fighting, it is also an excellent vehicle for teaching respect and tolerance for those who march to a different drum.

The Commedia
Robin Hood

[two public performances]
March 31st

The Tarradiddle Players will be bringing us the classic legend of Robin Hood and his merry men, told in the acting style of Commedia dell'arte, which flourished in Italy in the 1600s. The actors find plenty of ways to turn the story into farcical, slapstick fun, from Robin Hood's unforgettable battle on the bridge with Little John to his outwitting the bumbling Sheriff of Nottingham as he pursues the lovely Maid Marion. A delightfully silly introduction to the timeless story of the English outlaw who "robs from the rich to give to the poor."
