movies adapted from Southern plays followed by entertaining, enlightening
discussion on the public's facination with the South, and "going
to the movies." In recent years Dr. King has served as general editor for Garland's Casebooks on Modern Drama series and Studies in Modern Drama. He is currently Co-editor of the Southern Literary Journal and is completing a study of Southern elements in Tennessee William's plays. Since 1984 Dr. King has taught nearly one thousand students in a theatre course that is offered in London each summer, and he is the recipient of a Tanner award and other teaching awards |
