Dr. Kimball King


Dr. Kimball King is Professor Emeritus of English at UNC-Chapel Hill with a focus on 19th century American literature and contemporary British and American drama. An internationally known author and witty lecturer, he recently delighted audiences aboard the Queen Mary 2.

In recent years Dr. King has served as general editor for Garland's Casebooks on Modern Drama series and Studies in Modern Drama. He is currently Co-editor of the Southern Literary Journal and is completing a study of Southern elements in Tennessee William's plays. Since 1984 Dr. King has taught nearly one thousand students in a theatre course that is offered in London each summer, and he is the recipient of a Tanner award and other teaching awards
